Grey Heron on a winters morning by Elhovo Lake Bulgaria as winter arrives for the birds it is one of the hardest times of the year more so for the garden birds over the last couple of days i have seen an increase in birds that are visiting our garden feeders and water bowl.
Bird garden tips
Luke warm water on a morning in your drinking bowl. Place feeders were birds have a good view. A mix of corn seeds and sunflower seeds. Drill a couple of holes in the side of a tree and fill with peanut paste Blues tits just love this treat no damage to the tree.
Wood peckers will visit drilled holes on the side of a tree that are filled with walnuts
When driiling tree holes use a 8mm or 10mm drill bit.
